China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Launches the “First Lesson of the New Year” Initiative for 2026

To efficiently meet robust domestic and international order demand and ensure a high-quality start to the Group’s annual operations, following the early resumption of production on February 19 (the third day of the Lunar New Year) at several production units facing resource constraints, the China National Heavy Duty Truck Group’s manufacturing system fully resumed work and production on February 22 (the sixth day of the Lunar New Year). That morning, Liu Zhengtao, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Group, visited the Laiwu Plant of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group to extend condolences to frontline employees and deliver the “First Lesson of the New Year” for 2026, outlining and deploying key priorities for safe production.

During the “First Lesson” upon resumption of work, all attendees watched a cautionary video on workplace safety for the 2026 Spring Festival resumption, followed by a comprehensive review of the achievements and shortcomings of 2025’s production safety efforts. The meeting emphasized that workplace safety is vital to the Group’s overall drive for high-quality development, and that all units must strengthen the foundational work of workplace safety, establish a robust framework for long-term management, launch an intensive 100-day campaign to address safety risks and hazards, and continuously conduct thorough inspections and rectification of potential risks and hidden dangers—always maintaining a heightened sense of vigilance regarding safety. Key leaders of each unit are required to earnestly fulfill their primary responsibility for workplace safety, treating the “First Lesson” as a critical component of the resumption process. Through ongoing training and education, coupled with case-based warnings, they are to reawaken safety awareness across the board, ensure a swift return to focus and full engagement, and adopt a proactive, determined attitude—“treat the start as a decisive battle and the initial phase as a sprint”—to secure a strong start to the new year.
