Group Leaders Conduct On-Site Inspection of Work Resumption and Production Restoration and Extend Greetings and Condolences to Frontline Employees

From February 21 to 23, Wang Zhijian, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, visited Weichai and China National Heavy Duty Truck Group to conduct on-site inspections of work resumption and production recovery as well as workplace safety during the Spring Festival period. He also paid visits to and extended heartfelt greetings and New Year wishes to frontline employees. He emphasized the need to stay firmly committed to the goal of “taking the lead and shouldering major responsibilities,” mobilizing full enthusiasm and a pragmatic, down-to-earth approach to vigorously boost production, ensure timely delivery, and enhance quality and efficiency, thereby striving for a strong start in the first quarter and elevating high-quality development in 2026 to a new level.

On February 21, the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, Wang Zhijian first visited Weichai’s smart manufacturing plant for high-end heavy-duty engines. There, he gained a detailed understanding of order management, in-process quality control, and lean manufacturing practices, and engaged in cordial conversations with skilled craftsmen and frontline production staff. He noted that everyone had remained steadfast at their posts during the Spring Festival to ensure timely order fulfillment, a truly arduous effort. He urged all employees to maintain their passion for hard work, uphold the spirit of craftsmanship, and deliver high-quality products to customers efficiently. He emphasized that the plant should take its inclusion on the national list of leading-edge smart factories as an opportunity to build a world-class benchmark facility for engine production, grounded in a digital, intelligent, and lean operating model.

Subsequently, Wang Zhijian visited the site of Weichai Heavy Machinery’s high-end power-generation equipment manufacturing base project, as well as its foundry and large-bore engine plant. At present, the global data-center power sector is experiencing explosive growth, with Weichai’s power-generation products enjoying a robust order book and strong future demand. He stated that Weichai must seize this opportunity, move swiftly and vigorously, advance the construction of the new large-bore, high-end engine project to the highest standards, fully meet global market needs, and strengthen and expand its strategic new business segment in the power-energy field.

On February 23, Wang Zhijian conducted a field inspection at China National Heavy Duty Truck Group’s Jinan Commercial Vehicle Manufacturing Company, gaining in-depth insights into global market orders, the transformation of new-energy production lines, and supply-chain and logistics support, while also inspecting the company’s latest heavy-truck models on site. He emphasized that CNHTC should further increase its investment in intelligent manufacturing, benchmark against world-class standards to build competitive advantages in product technology, quality, cost, and service, and ensure it establishes a leading edge in the new-energy transition of commercial vehicles while cultivating a strong brand reputation amid rapid growth in international markets. During the current peak-production period, it is imperative to rigorously uphold workplace safety, provide attentive and heartfelt support and services to employees, and lay a solid foundation for high-quality development.
